Computer Simulations

Not so many people heard of “Computer Simulations”, at first I didn’t know what it means. A question/example was said in class, the question was “Have anyone watched the Matrix?” many said yes. I was like what is this got to do with computer programming. The example in the movie is really from beginning to end. In the movie, computer cocoon shape systems are connected to the person’s head to submit the simulations into the computer to control. Actually the person can do whatever they want, but the negative thing about the computer stimulation in the Matrix is died in the made up is dead in the real world. I think computer simulations can be a good and bad thing because computer simulations are real robots.

Beware of online threats!

It sucks when computers get hacked. I personally have that experience a lot when I was in middle school. My computer will slow down at first and then crash. In one year this will happen five times, the worst thing it will always happen when I am doing school work. After those experiences my parents install anti-virus software so my computer system won’t crush again. The kind of precautions I made was don’t click on ads that say “just won a free laptop!” or “which one is Paris Hilton; a,b or c!” anything mention like this is surely a hacker involved. Just ignore those ads, go on setting in your browser and set the ad blocker on. Dangers of installing free music, screensavers and software for the computer is that it can say there is no harm that is safe to download. Which can seem safe but during the download it can take affect during or after the download. I won’t download the free stuff that ads pop- up. I think Microsoft and Apple software that can be download for free is safe because it is from the company and it is secure from their severs. Again I can be wrong with the whole thing; maybe if a hacker goes to there sever and change stuff to harm other people computers whiles the download is finish. To protect my identity online I wouldn’t put my personal information, a good idea is to make up your name and date of birth. But is better just to ignore anything that is about filling in personal information of you.

#5 "Disable people can use the computer

Computer gadgets for the disable are great! After, reading the article on online about how people without hands and arms, can use the computer with the TONGUE. I like the idea of the tongue controlling the computer. Many people that are lazy or to tried will probably go insert one. I see the idea of the computers for the disable in one to five years is really going to be a great thing for them. Make this gadgets for them will help them do things once they didn’t use before or haven't for a long time. If i was able to make a computer gadget for the disable. I will custom make each individual who has a disability because each of them have different condition. For example, if the person have no arms or hands...........and instead of using the tongue. They can use voice command system to turn the computer on or off, search on the websites, use notepad and etc. Everything in voice command. Well I bet the next question is " what about the deaf and mute?" Another plan is for the deaf, they can go to computer classes learn how the computer works, by using sign language instruction shown by the teacher. For the mute, they can listen how to be use it. The only idea that comes to my head is the use of voice command system for the disable. Soon I will have a great idea for the deaf, mute and the blind. I don't want to give benefit only to one type of disability, but to many out there.

# 4 Is America ready to use computers for voting?!

By using the computer to vote for candidates can be a positive and negative consequence. The problem of voting by computers are the system can break down, which the votes were save to back up system. Someone or individual can hack the system and change the number of ballots to make the fake winner win. The good thing about voting on the computer is that is easier, just with one click a vote was made, and faster, I guess no one had to wait in line instead just vote in the comfort of their home. Personally, I prefer using the paper ballots because it can be recounted anytime. The only thing that will be good is that whole nation has the same voting paper procedure because many people don’t understand the instruction given and the mistake happens. When I hear the computer voting system, trouble comes to my mind, if hacker goes on anyone’s computer. Imagine a crazy obsesses person wanting to change the verdict of the winner to the loser becoming the president. If the whole school has a chance to vote for an officer on the cell phones it can be a problem. Anyone can vote the officer they want, but the problem will be voting more then once and asking other friends outside of school to vote for whoever is running.
