ELIZA!
When I first encounter Eliza it was a really cool and fun experience because it was something I never heard or seen before. Eliza is supposed to be a therapist in a computer, that is awkward in the sense that maybe it can actually give a person advice. Going to the website provide by our computer programming teacher, I test the theory I created in my mind that just maybe it can response close to a human being. I was right and wrong…I bet you’re asking yourselves what I mean. Right, because Eliza did response back that and wrong, she will response some random things that doesn’t go with the response the person answer to. Everyone in the class was like want is going on and asking each other how you got my response as your answer back and vice versa. Final our teacher told us that the Eliza program is connected to different networks that whatever we type responding to the question it might be the reply of another and vice versa. After awhile I got bored of Eliza. It was proof that computers can’t act as human beings…..maybe not now! But when the technology get better in the future there can be computers that can act like humans but with greater intelligence. It’s sounds that I am going to far but it can be possible. After, reading the question of the week, the first thought that come to my head was the I Robot, movie. Especially the last couple minutes ‘til the end of the movie. That a computer program or system was controlling the robots from being super nice to super mean. She was created to interact with humans to help out, but she turn against the humans because she wanted to have power. I still don’t know why that movie came to mind. I bet it got to do nothing with Eliza or maybe it does (in some parts). Personally I wouldn’t like a computer to act human because many it can turn against us…great another example pop out in my mind. Like one of the episode of Futurama when anything that is control by the computer is going to control humans. I forgot the name of the episode…I was going to show a clip! I will find it soon so I can post it so many readers understand what I mean.

Wireless connection in an area zone!
I think using other’s wireless access to the internet without permission is bad and good for the following reasons. First reason is that you can warn the person about how there internet connection isn’t secure by hackers. Second reason is if you need to use the internet to do a research for a paper and your connection for the internet sucks. You can get your laptop and get the access to go online, in a case like that I think is alright. I wouldn’t abuse the free internet, only if I really need it. You may agree with me or not that is okay. Today in computer programming the teacher asked “who has a password access for the wireless connection?” not so many people raise their hands. One they don’t know or their wireless access is not secure by a password. I knew my answer that I do have my wireless connection secure because one of my mom’s best friend’s husband set it up for me when I got DSL. I really recommend actually getting a password for the wireless connection. I heard so many stories about not having a password; several of my friends in their neighborhood had no passwords…well guess what they all had a virus in their computers because some hacker broke in their systems. Why? Because they didn’t have a password, still even with a password a virus can go to the computer. But, there is less risk though. Last thing before I log off out of here…hackers are always there. Exactly in this moment I am typing and you reading all of this info. Remember hackers like to ruin people computer systems by sending viruses and worms.

stuck on an island and only with $ 100
Stuck on an island and only had hundred dollars to last for three months. Without any cell phone or any electronics…would be dreadful. Since I was a little kid my brother’s friends or my peers will ask me a question that never gets to old to ask “If you were stuck on a island, what will you bring?”I will say my toys and food. When the years gone by I will change my answer, now I will say my iPod, my cell phones, food and etc. If I was really stuck in an island with only hundred dollars to last for three months and no electronics are involved. Then I guess I will buy a use wooden boat with first aid kit,dry foods and water and firecrackers for a sign for help.I will write a message in a bottle thing (if have bottles, blanket paper and a pen/pencil) and write a message for help that I am okay and describle how my boat looks like and name of it and how I look like so they can have an idea.
Or maybe make a little city in the island (if there are any other survivor in the island) and we have hundred dollars worth of stuff we bought. Right now I might also bring stuff that I have at home; an example would bring tools that are not electronic, only that are manual use. Bring weapons for catching our food at sea or inland. In the end I don't really know what to bring or buy in the store.
1) computer number# 01083
2)problems I encouter while using Alice is my computer freeze up a lot!
3)I don't really know what I am grateful for...I will say that I am alive and my family and friends are alive too!
Once Upon a Time......
How would the world be without any electronics…….Many will say the world will be in the end others say it will just be boring! That is a question you can ask to ancestors from the past. If people centuries go can live without any technology, we can too. But I bet the world will go crazy…..and eventually forget how to do things with the use of technology.
Now in our life, we were use of using things that are just there for different type of entrainment. Some will be sad others happy if the technology dies in our life time. I my opinion technology and electronics are developing in these very second that I am typing these blog. In case electronics doesn’t exist the days coming up…..we have no choice but to except the situation that had occur. I guess we have to use methods out ancestors used when technology was at zero percent. Using the methods how to hunt our food, make our clothes, how to build homes and buildings and cook our food over pile of wood to burn and etc. Life would be different and stressful for so many people, especially the youth who have to learn to teach the generation. But hopefully the coming generation can develop back the technology that had been lost. Typing these is really hard because I know what I just typed can be true or false. If it gets to be true in the future or these weekend, I know I will be one of the people being stress and angry. I am so use of using the my iPhone, my desktop computer, the television, and iPod.

Cell Phones are dangerous, a world without cell phones!

Lately in the media and on newspapers, there been studies about how cell phones are harmful for our brain. It might sound strange but mostly own from the internet, that cell phones can cause brain tumor. I will give you a fact about a study in California, the conductors place several people in two divided rooms with a special camera that senses heat. The heads of the several people had cold spots in fifteen minutes left or right side had a high temperature for heat. Many doctors suggest don't talk on the phone for a while because it can be a possibly of brain tumors. Sorry about that really random fact! I thought it would be really interesting how many people will like to know is true, I don't know to believe it or not. I prefer just to take the advice. If all cell phones around the world are taken, I will be overwhelm with sadness. But thanks to technology there are other methods to communicate with family and friends in different part of the world. We can use the computer and install a web cam or just plainly call from the house phone with a calling card or just call. Life would be totally different, an example will be in a emergency if someone in an alley got hurt and there is no one around and no public phones. Either go running to the nearest gas station or just wait in alley until police officers are paroling in the alley. I think it's really important to have not just for a fashion statement but if danger happens out of nowhere.

OBAMA WINS!
Fact is that Obama did use more technology than McCain. Obama was able to keep voters of all age in touch by having accounts in Myspace, Facebook and other blogs to promote his presidential race. Myspace and Facebook were mostly for the youth who is first time voters or previous voters from last election. My friends of the age of 16 to 29 will promote Obama on the post bulletin section....so others will read "we what change!" and they will either comment, copy or post on blog or just ingore the post. Using the internet is a very successful tool to use if a person wants to be notice by everyone. Promotions were really big on Myspace. Myspace even made an election 08 section so very one can get to know each candidate. I was impress many of my peers were going for Obama and wish they could vote. The 18 or older range were commenting they will vote for him and support no matter what. Everyday supposedly Obama will post a blog or a bulletin about wanting to make a change in the American life.

Violence uploaded in YouTube
Recently, I been watching or hearing new about teen posting videos attacking their peers. I think teens that post those videos are crying for help. Violence is not the answer all the time. I believe physical fights are only made for self-defense, not for anyone or oneself pleasure. To see an innocent victim or enemies suffer beats by other multiple people. Some teens might see these alluring and others disturbed by the actions that are committed. These videos can encourage younger and other teens to commit a violence crime to anyone around them. Posting these videos will make every teen have a bad image. Dangers that can affect us today do not trust everyone around you. We don’t know the real intention people have for another. I seen cases of “friends” backstabbing each other back or just one is talk behind there back. What I heard is that the videos are made to show younger peers, want to join a gang. They can view how the individual can join…by getting beat by the whole gang, without protecting their self. If the individual can handle the pain without a word… the individual is part of the gang. My opinion is that violence should stop, but reality is we humans need it if is a last option. Like I say all the time, “VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER!” Others many agree or disagree about this quote. Censorship won’t be a solution to this problem because violence is always going to happen. If violence gets censor in the media and some website like youtube. Someone out there who is a computer genius can create a special website for violent videos and anyone can view it.

Cell Phones Attach!
It is a fact that today generation is attached to technology…especially the cell phones. Everyone in the world has one, the age doesn’t matter anymore. To be honest I am attached to my cell phone, not just because it’s an Iphone. With my cell phone I can call anyone I want anytime I want (well there is a time I call people and that time is at 9pm). I have a personal experience of not using a cell phone for a month. The reason I didn’t use it was because my mom didn’t like how much many the company was charging; I pass the limited hours used and I text messages away to much. Without my cell phone I discover I was a mess; I have my contacts, games, songs, internet, and calendar with important events to attend to or appointments. I think for everyone is different, but after watching the news about how cell phones are bad for our health. I will say it’s all the above. Good will is in the use of just for emergency or work in business (travel wise). Bad if the cell phone is overheated as your ear and cheek, talking for hours. Neutral when the individual have days when hours go by just talking and days just for their benefit.

Computer Simulations
Not so many people heard of “Computer Simulations”, at first I didn’t know what it means. A question/example was said in class, the question was “Have anyone watched the Matrix?” many said yes. I was like what is this got to do with computer programming. The example in the movie is really from beginning to end. In the movie, computer cocoon shape systems are connected to the person’s head to submit the simulations into the computer to control. Actually the person can do whatever they want, but the negative thing about the computer stimulation in the Matrix is died in the made up is dead in the real world. I think computer simulations can be a good and bad thing because computer simulations are real robots.

Beware of online threats!

It sucks when computers get hacked. I personally have that experience a lot when I was in middle school. My computer will slow down at first and then crash. In one year this will happen five times, the worst thing it will always happen when I am doing school work. After those experiences my parents install anti-virus software so my computer system won’t crush again. The kind of precautions I made was don’t click on ads that say “just won a free laptop!” or “which one is Paris Hilton; a,b or c!” anything mention like this is surely a hacker involved. Just ignore those ads, go on setting in your browser and set the ad blocker on. Dangers of installing free music, screensavers and software for the computer is that it can say there is no harm that is safe to download. Which can seem safe but during the download it can take affect during or after the download. I won’t download the free stuff that ads pop- up. I think Microsoft and Apple software that can be download for free is safe because it is from the company and it is secure from their severs. Again I can be wrong with the whole thing; maybe if a hacker goes to there sever and change stuff to harm other people computers whiles the download is finish. To protect my identity online I wouldn’t put my personal information, a good idea is to make up your name and date of birth. But is better just to ignore anything that is about filling in personal information of you.

#5 "Disable people can use the computer
Computer gadgets for the disable are great! After, reading the article on online about how people without hands and arms, can use the computer with the TONGUE. I like the idea of the tongue controlling the computer. Many people that are lazy or to tried will probably go insert one. I see the idea of the computers for the disable in one to five years is really going to be a great thing for them. Make this gadgets for them will help them do things once they didn’t use before or haven't for a long time. If i was able to make a computer gadget for the disable. I will custom make each individual who has a disability because each of them have different condition. For example, if the person have no arms or hands...........and instead of using the tongue. They can use voice command system to turn the computer on or off, search on the websites, use notepad and etc. Everything in voice command. Well I bet the next question is " what about the deaf and mute?" Another plan is for the deaf, they can go to computer classes learn how the computer works, by using sign language instruction shown by the teacher. For the mute, they can listen how to be use it. The only idea that comes to my head is the use of voice command system for the disable. Soon I will have a great idea for the deaf, mute and the blind. I don't want to give benefit only to one type of disability, but to many out there.

# 4 Is America ready to use computers for voting?!

# 3 PDAs and iPhones are used as Presidential Campaign!
In my government class, the teacher asked the whole class, “Who is going to receive a text from Obama tomorrow?” Everybody was clueless what she just said. I personally think that text messages and the internet will play a very important role for upcoming months. It is a easier and faster way of reaching people, specially the young ones to be interested in the Presidential Campaign. Both parties will be promoting through the internet and text messages for the 18 and 20s range to get support for voting. I seen text use in school about when a checklist is due, what is for homework, bring snack for the class, and etc. It would be a great idea for campaigning to be in student council or to be a class officer. By doing this promotion on the cell phones the word will spread out faster and easier. Everyone in school will know who is running; having ideas who will she/he vote for. Many cases are the minority of the whole school doesn’t know who is running for what. By doing these promotion on the internet or by text message other people in the world can have access in what is going on in the

#2 Is e-mail really safe?

To be honest I have heard of e-mails being hacked. The people who told me this was my family and friends, they try to warn me not to post personal information because maybe one day I can be hacked. I think is really interesting how we have the technology to hack someone’s privacy, when the individual thinks there is no danger…when she/he are! My opinion of hacking peoples e-mail is cool, but when I think about it, more in depth. The answer is I wouldn’t like if someone read my messages and information (bank accounts status, home address, work phone and etc) because it is private and the worst without permission. The only way I think e-mail can be private is if a password is really hard to break down or just keep your personal information out of the internet world. If I know how to break through my neighbor’s e-mail is something strange is going on. Any signs of strange activities that can be harmful to a person or the community. Maybe hacking the neighbor’s e-mail was a good thing because the community can be little bit safer with a less hacker in town. There are days that I wonder what will I find if I hack my friends e-mails, would they be totally different person be reading the messages. I know myself that I wouldn’t do that because that would just be backstabbing, nosy and a really bad friend. I rather not know anything that they keep for the following reasons: 1) privacy 2)it not any of my business and others to know what is in he/she e-mail!

# 1 What is Computer Programming for me?!

When I hear Computer Programming, what comes to my mind is only about computer stuff. When I mean “stuff”; programs, downloads and how to fix the system when the computer is not working right. What I find interesting about computers is that anyone can use it for so many things. For example, typing a essay, doing a PowerPoint presentation, uploading a picture(s) from the camera to my pictures folder and especially browsing the internet. My personal favorite thing about computers is that the internet because I can stay in touch with friends, research a project, buy things that I want, play games, read the news, and browse whatever a person wants. What I know about computers is that there are two famous software programs “windows” (pc) and “apple” (mac). I heard Mac computer are more advance than a PC computer! I wonder if that is true, I hope I get to know by the end of the year. Does it really exist such thing a more advance software program for the computer? I find a great achievement in technology is that many cell phones have some computer features. I guess the laptop it’s not great anymore because is like carrying around a desktop in your massager bag! It looks like the smaller is gets the better it is…..or is it?!
