# 3 PDAs and iPhones are used as Presidential Campaign!

In my government class, the teacher asked the whole class, “Who is going to receive a text from Obama tomorrow?” Everybody was clueless what she just said. I personally think that text messages and the internet will play a very important role for upcoming months. It is a easier and faster way of reaching people, specially the young ones to be interested in the Presidential Campaign. Both parties will be promoting through the internet and text messages for the 18 and 20s range to get support for voting. I seen text use in school about when a checklist is due, what is for homework, bring snack for the class, and etc. It would be a great idea for campaigning to be in student council or to be a class officer. By doing this promotion on the cell phones the word will spread out faster and easier. Everyone in school will know who is running; having ideas who will she/he vote for. Many cases are the minority of the whole school doesn’t know who is running for what. By doing these promotion on the internet or by text message other people in the world can have access in what is going on in the United States. I don’t think is a bad thing, because in the first place the information and promotion of the campaign is place set up. Anyone can sign up in the newsletter, receive messages on their e-mails or get a text message. The whole world knows about who is running for president, what caught the attention to many were; first female and first African American to run as President of the United States.

#2 Is e-mail really safe?

To be honest I have heard of e-mails being hacked. The people who told me this was my family and friends, they try to warn me not to post personal information because maybe one day I can be hacked. I think is really interesting how we have the technology to hack someone’s privacy, when the individual thinks there is no danger…when she/he are! My opinion of hacking peoples e-mail is cool, but when I think about it, more in depth. The answer is I wouldn’t like if someone read my messages and information (bank accounts status, home address, work phone and etc) because it is private and the worst without permission. The only way I think e-mail can be private is if a password is really hard to break down or just keep your personal information out of the internet world. If I know how to break through my neighbor’s e-mail is something strange is going on. Any signs of strange activities that can be harmful to a person or the community. Maybe hacking the neighbor’s e-mail was a good thing because the community can be little bit safer with a less hacker in town. There are days that I wonder what will I find if I hack my friends e-mails, would they be totally different person be reading the messages. I know myself that I wouldn’t do that because that would just be backstabbing, nosy and a really bad friend. I rather not know anything that they keep for the following reasons: 1) privacy 2)it not any of my business and others to know what is in he/she e-mail!

# 1 What is Computer Programming for me?!

When I hear Computer Programming, what comes to my mind is only about computer stuff. When I mean “stuff”; programs, downloads and how to fix the system when the computer is not working right. What I find interesting about computers is that anyone can use it for so many things. For example, typing a essay, doing a PowerPoint presentation, uploading a picture(s) from the camera to my pictures folder and especially browsing the internet. My personal favorite thing about computers is that the internet because I can stay in touch with friends, research a project, buy things that I want, play games, read the news, and browse whatever a person wants. What I know about computers is that there are two famous software programs “windows” (pc) and “apple” (mac). I heard Mac computer are more advance than a PC computer! I wonder if that is true, I hope I get to know by the end of the year. Does it really exist such thing a more advance software program for the computer? I find a great achievement in technology is that many cell phones have some computer features. I guess the laptop it’s not great anymore because is like carrying around a desktop in your massager bag! It looks like the smaller is gets the better it is…..or is it?!
